Hypogonadism

Hypogonadism can be primary (testicular failure) or secondary (a hypothalamic/pituitary issue) and is diagnosed by combining symptoms with two early-morning serum testosterone tests. Endocrine Society guidelines recommend treating only when both criteria are met.
