Minoxidil

A vasodilator used topically or orally at low doses for hair regrowth. Compounded oral minoxidil is widely available from telehealth hair loss providers.

Topical minoxidil 5% is FDA-approved for both men and women and produces visible regrowth in roughly 40% of users over 6 months of consistent use. Low-dose oral minoxidil (1.25-2.5 mg) is increasingly prescribed off-label and tends to be more potent but with higher systemic side effects.
