Fact-checked 12 May 2026Plain-English Reference

Tadalafil's 17-hour half-life makes it useful as a daily low-dose (2.5-5 mg) treatment, removing the timing pressure of on-demand dosing. It is also FDA-approved for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Side-effect profile is broadly similar to sildenafil with somewhat more myalgia.
